"Tennesseeans are dealing with a cost of living crisis. I hear it from voters regularly, especially folks who have been here for long enough to notice the change. Every policy in this collection takes tangible steps to reduce costs in Tennessee, either directly for your every day purchases or for the state in a way that reduces cost for all. Inside you'll find relief for housing, healthcare, energy, groceries, debt, and more."

"I live in the city now but I grew up going to 'the country school', exploring miles of wooded forests, and riding my bike down to the creek for fun. I understand that life in the country is different, and so are the needs of the community. The country is not for dumping sites or datacenters, it's for people. I'll invest the same energy into your community as I do into the big cities, and treat rural counties with the respect they deserve. With your partnership we can make healthcare accessible, cut down commutes, feed Tennessee, and steward our land for generations to come."

"Tennessee needs to prepare to put our people and our common resources before data centers. My plan calls for a moratorium for 24 months, long enough to establish a division for Environmental Justice (EJ) and rules it can enforce. The EJ Division can deny permits that push communities beyond safe limits and empowers individuals and communities to negotiate benefit agreements and sue over environmental injustices. Rules would create scalable standards that can’t be gamed, mutual grid stability prioritizing communities in emergencies and matching demand with renewable energy, and banning or regulating AI systems regarding surveillance, companions, price setting, decision making, and synthetic content."

"Farmers have a harder job than ever, and a more important role than ever. Not only do ya'll feed Tennessee, you have a chance to help us save our natural world and stabilize our climate. These policy positions are designed to make your job easier by giving you more revenue, more freedom on your farm, support services, and paid opportunities to restore our land."

"Mental health needs to be a public health priority in Tennessee if we want to end the opioid crisis, reduce crime, and solve homelessness. Farmers, first responders, and veterans also currently lack the care they need to do the jobs we depend on them to do. It's time we invested seriously in our mental wellbeing to make sure our towns and workers never find themselves alone in a crisis."

"Tennessee is one of the most biodiverse states in the country, and even has some of the most biodiverse ecology in the world. Our land is lush and beautiful, and we need to keep it that way. These policies protect nature and biodiversity, and take steps to restore the land's habitats, tree cover, and more."

"Kids are our future, and as parents you deserve all the support we can muster to make sure your child is afforded every opportunity available to them. These policies support parents by giving them back time and money, and by providing resources for you and your children to improve education, nutrition, healthcare, and more."

"Redirecting voucher spending to public schools is a must, but that won't catapult us out of our low funding problem. No other candidate proposes measures to truly solve our education crisis, because no one wants to tell you that we need to raise taxes. I'll tell you the hard truths and offer solutions that make them easy to bare: we can do this without costing you a dime. Through a cannabis tax and two taxes on the ultra rich, we can fund education and care work for generations."

"You'd think with a deep-red legislature and governors desk that we'd take better care of veterans, but our state has had a funding deficit for veterans for many years. I'll see to it that we fix that, and that we take proper care of our police officers, firefighters, and other first responders as well."

"Tennessee has long favored employers and wealthy business owners to workers, driving down wages and driving up discrimination and deregulation. These policies take measurable steps to reinforce and protect worker's rights in Tennessee, because our economy depends on us."
